Karoo Plainsong on the BBC!

Karoo Plainsong hits the BBC!
I had the opportunity to talk about my new novel on BBC Radio Surrey on Friday last week. That's a first for me!
My interviewer was the vivacious Sarah Gorrell, host of Radio Surrey's afternoon show. She seized Karoo Plainsong from me as soon as I joined her in the studio, confessing that she was a passionate reader and couldn't wait to get started!
And... through the miracle of modern technology, you can listen to the interview by going to my website and clicking through to the 'Media' page.

Karoo Plainsong Arrives

At first, I thought it was a misdirected furniture delivery.
Then I noticed a familiar terracotta colour beneath the plastic wrappings. Surely not? Surely the driver didn't need a forklift to transfer 200 copies of a novel from the back of his truck to my front door?
Indeed, he did. 200 copies, wrapped up in batches of 16, on a wooden pallett. Seriously heavy.
So after more than 5 years, many rewrites, countless wrestlings with plot and character, my story has settled itself between the covers of a book, and is there for you to read. All 416 pages of it. Weighing in at 530 grams on my kitchen scale. What a baby!
