My new novel, The Fire Portrait, has been selected to appear on Exclusive Books Recommended List for October! Exclusives is South Africa's leading book retailer with some 40 beautiful and spacious stores nationwide. A place on their special recommended list is highly sought after.
This selection will mean enhanced publicity for the book, special front-of-store displays and something intriguingly called "fanatics mailers"!
I have history with the company: for my previous books, I've done talks and signings at their Cape Town flagship store, and signed many copies for display at their other locations. But, given the travel restrictions, I will not be there to join the party!
Once travel rules ease, I hope to work with Exclusives to promote the book in person, and to meet some of the readers who may have purchased a copy as a result of this special marketing boost.
Until then... if you are in South Africa, do pop into your nearest branch, take a photo for me of The Fire Portrait in all its glory (and yourself alongside it if you fancy!) and post it on my facebook or Instagram pages! Then I will know the book is really there!
